The other day, we reported about Dhruv Vikram sharing a video on Instagram where he can be seen training intensely to prepare for his role as a Kabaddi player in director Mari Selvaraj's Bison. As he runs at almost the same rate as a moving bus, people from inside it push him to increase the speed. You can also hear portions from the rap song 'Rekka Rekka' from Bison playing in the background. Dhruv's iconic actor father Vikram shared the video and wrote, "8’ < 16’?! You make me proud."

With 8 and 16, Vikram seems to be referring to the dimensions of the Kabaddi court. The full quote suggests that he is proud about his son pushing beyond a much smaller, defined area into a comparatively larger one, symbolising his efforts to overcome the boundaries of the sport.

The other day, Bison composer Santhosh Narayanan praised Dhruv Vikram's performance in the film and said that his "father is jumping for joy now". Bison stars Dhruv as a youngster wanting to make it into India's Kabaddi team. The film, based on Arjuna Award winner Manathi Ganesan, tells the story of how one man overcomes the hurdles of caste-based violence and systemic corruption to become an Asian Kabaddi Championship winner.
