On day 3 of Bigg Boss Tamil 9, the contestants were made to do a task in the morning at the activity area. The activity, called 'Enna Solla Pora', required the contestants to open up about whom they think will get eliminated, who will win and how long they will stay in the house.

While almost all contestants said that they will stay for 105 days in the house, three contestants in particular said that they won't last that long. First, Kalaiyarasan, without quoting a specific number of days, said that winning the trophy is not the end goal for him. He said he came into the Bigg Boss house to change his identity, as his wards were denied school admission after being judged as an Aghori's children.

Next, Diwakar clearly stated that he only wishes to stay in the house for around 60 days. He said that given the circumstances of the house and the way the members are playing the game, he would be happy if he were able to sustain himself in the Bigg Boss house for 60 days. Next, Nandhini said that she would leave the game within 20 to 30 days, as she has gotten a picture of how the game will go forward. She said she's happy to leave that early into the game.

On day 3, the first captaincy task for the season took place. The contestants were tasked with boiling milk, with rules and regulations, in order to win the captaincy for the week. Bigg Boss also announced that the contestant who ends up as the captain has the advantage of winning up to 15 weeks of immunity from nomination for eviction. The captain for the week is yet to be decided, as only 2 levels of the task were completed on day 3.

Bigg Boss Tamil 9 is the second consecutive season hosted by Vijay Sethupathi. The show streams 24/7 on JioHotstar and airs a daily one-hour highlight episode on Vijay Television at 9:30 p.m., featuring 20 contestants in new challenges and surprises.
