Recently, we reported that Ajith Kumar’s racing team, comprising Ajith, Ralph Poppelaars, Huub van Eijndhoven, Cameron McLeod, and Gregory Servais, has finished fourth at the Barcelona 24H Race and third in the AM class of the Michelin Creventic Porsche GT3 Cup (European Endurance Championship 2025). On Sunday, actor-turned-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin took to his official X handle to congratulate the actor on his win.

The Tamil Nadu minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development wrote, "Proud to learn that actor and friend Ajith Kumar sir’s 'Ajith Kumar Racing Team' has secured P3 overall in the Creventic 24H European Endurance Championship Series 2025. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ajith Sir and his team for making our country and state proud on the international racing stage. On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Government, I also thank him for sporting the #SDAT logo on his vehicle and jersey in this prestigious event. I wish him continued success and many more titles on the track."

While the Indian flag was flying high with pride in Spain, the news and the celebrations were kept under the radar, as Ajith reportedly didn't want the spotlight to turn upon racing amidst the Karur stampede tragedy.

Ajith, who received the Padma Bhushan award earlier this year, returned to the racing circuit after a 15-year hiatus and made a strong comeback, securing a podium finish at the Dubai 24H in January this year. This win marks the team's second podium finish.

Ajithwas last seen in Adhik Ravichandran's Good Bad Ugly. The film also starred Trisha, Arjun Das, Sunil, Prabhu, Prasanna, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Jackie Shroff, Shine Tom Chacko, Tinnu Anand, BS Avinash and Raghu Ram. Udhayanidhi Stalin was last seen in Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan, following which he quit cinema to focus on politics.
