In recent months, Tamil Nadu has been rattled by a series of bomb hoaxes, sparking widespread panic. False alarms have targeted schools, leading to chaotic evacuations of students, while similar threats have been issued against high-profile locations, including the Chief Minister’s residence, the Opposition leader’s house, the Governor’s Mansion, and major railway stations.

In the latest incident, the Chennai police control room received a call on Friday morning claiming that a bomb had been planted at actor Trisha’s residence in Teynampet. Trisha, who has been a leading figure in Tamil cinema for over 25 years and was last seen in Thug Life alongside Kamal Haasan, was not present at the time. Police teams, assisted by sniffer dogs, swiftly searched the premises and confirmed the threat to be a hoax

All were declared hoaxes following police inspections. Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the individual or group behind these repeated hoax threats, which have created a climate of fear across the city.

On the work front, Trisha has Karuppu, the RJ Balaji directorial with Suriya in the lead, coming up. She is also set to be seen in Vishwambhara, in which she will be seen alongside Chiranjeevi. The film is helmed by Mallidi Vassishta.Trisha also has the second season of the Sony LIV series Brinda in the pipeline.
