Trisha took to her Instagram Stories to laud director Abishan Jeevinth and actor Sasikumar's recent film Tourist Family. Admitting that she is late to watch the film, Trisha praised it by saying "what a film" and appreciated Sasikumar and Simran's performances, among others. Alluding to Sasikumar's appearances in feel-good films, the actor said that he is "the living example of "only good things happen to people with the best hearts" on and off screen." Talking about Simran, Trisha said that the former is her "favourite" actor and an "inspiration from the day" she met her.
Trisha sent love emoticons to the rest of the cast, MS Bhaskar, Elango Kumaravel, Bagavathi Perumal, as well as the child actors Mithun Jai Sankar and Kamalesh Jagan. She also quoted director Abishan and expressed her gratitude to him "for making a film so real and beautiful."
Tourist Family is widely regarded as India's most profitable film of 2025, as it reportedly earned a profit of 1200 per cent. The film follows a Sri Lankan immigrant family who navigates life in Chennai. It has a storyline that champions a message about cross-border love and brotherhood. In CE’s review, Jayabhuvaneshwari B lauded the film as "a soulful tale of survival and solidarity,” and described it as “A deceptively light film that juggles grief, humour, and warmth in equal measure."
