Actor Kayadu Lohar has addressed, for the first time, the wave of misinformation and personal attacks she has been subjected to over the past few months. In an emotional interview with Behindwoods, the Dragon actor revealed how deeply the rumours and online speculation have affected her.

Fighting back tears, Kayadu said the experience has been overwhelming, especially because she is still new to the industry. “It’s not that easy,” she shared. “I don’t come from this background; it’s very new for me. I never thought something like this would hit me so hard. Whenever I go to sleep, it’s very hard to think that people believe such things about me. I would never think like this about anyone else.”

The actor first found herself in the spotlight earlier this year after starring alongside Pradeep Ranganathan in Dragon. But with rising fame came unsettling rumours. In May, reports alleged that she was under the Enforcement Directorate’s radar in connection with the Tamil Nadu TASMAC scam. A report even claimed that individuals caught during the investigation had named her and alleged that she charged large sums to attend private events.

Months later, a second controversy surfaced. Following the Karur stampede in September, a fake X account created in Kayadu’s name posted that her friend had died at Vijay’s rally. She was forced to publicly clarify that the account was impersonating her and that she had no friends in Karur, calling out the narrative as entirely fabricated.

Kayadu admitted that reading such comments about herself has been painful. “I was just following my dream, being good to people,” she said. “When I see these comments… it’s not easy to read. The only question is why I’m being targeted. I understand it’s part of my profession, but I can’t explain how much it has been hitting me. I am not okay with it.”

Despite everything, the actor says she has no intention of backing down. “I will continue to spread love and be grateful,” she said, adding that “giving up is not an option.”

Kayadu now has an impressive lineup of projects across Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, including Idhayam Murali, Immortal, a film with Simbu, Palli Chattambi, Funky, and Thaaram.
