The other day, we reported about Gouri Kishan responding to an inappropriate question from a journalist about her body weight during en event for her film Others. Gouri called him out and said that it was wrong of him to ask her the question. Many have come out in support of Gouri ever since her response went viral. The latest to throw her weight behind the actor is Jwala Gutta.

Taking to X, the Arjuna Award winning badminton player wrote, "It’s frustrating how women are always asked about their weight, age, whether they're married, or if they plan to have children, as if that defines their worth or career potential." She went on to add, "Meanwhile, no one would ever ask a male professional about his looks or personal life in the same way. Why is it wrong for women to be successful irrespective of any of these silly questions….Let’s break free from these outdated, misogynistic expectations and start valuing women for their talents, not their appearances."

While Jwala did not mention Gouri's name in the post, it is obvious what she referred to here. Recently, Gouri Kishan also said that the reporter told her to reduce weight as she is the film's heroine. "Who is he to decide that? It is my choice. Nobody has the right to comment. It is a personal choice," she told Asianet News.
