On Monday, Anupama Parameswaran took to her official Instagram handle to share a behind-the-scenes clip of herself working for her latest film, Bison Kaalamaadan, helmed by Mari Selvaraj.

In the small video, Anupama can be seen doing a number of demanding chores, including chopping of wood, washing of utensils, planting of saplings, making of bricks, riding a bicycle in the sun and standing in sunlight with oil applied on her face.

In the caption, she explained why she described Bison as "beyond cinema". "Welcome to a @mariselvaraj84 movie set. When I said Bison was beyond cinema, this is what I meant. It was a journey through the soil, the people, and the spirit of a place that changed something in me. Every day felt like a workshop – learning, unlearning, and living among stories that breathe truth. Thank you, Mari sir, for letting me be a small part of your world, where cinema feels like life itself. Love you, my pookies, @dhruv.vikram and @rajishavijayan."

Based on the life of Arjuna Awardee athlete Manathi Ganesan, Bison follows Kittaan (Dhruv), who is determined to overcome all the odds stacked against him in a caste-conflict-ridden district of Tirunelveli to achieve big as a Kabaddi player.

The film was released on October 17, ahead of the Deepavali festival, along with Keerthiswaran's Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, and Shanmugam Muthusamy's Diesel, led by Harish Kalyan.

Produced by Pa Ranjith and Aditi Anand under Neelam Studios in association with Applause Entertainment, Bison also features Lal, Ameer, Pasupathi, and Rajisha Vijayan. The rest of the technical crew comprises Sakthi Thiru as the editor, Nivas K Prasanna as the music composer, Kumar Gangappan as the art director, and Dhilip Subbarayan as the action choreographer.
