The oldies are here to solve a murder or two! Netflix unveiled the teaser for The Thursday Murder Club on Thursday. The film, starring Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan and Ben Kingsley, is all set to premiere on Netflix on August 28.

The teaser shows four septuagenarians in a retirement community who solve cold cases for fun. They encounter their first live crime, chancing upon the death of a shady property developer.

The Thursday Murder Club will also star David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Celia Imrie, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Richard E Grant, Tom Ellis, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Sarah Niles, and Ingrid Oliver.

Chris Columbus, known for helming a few Harry Potter films and the Home Alone franchise, is the director of this upcoming crime comedy. The Thursday Murder Club is based on Richard Osman's eponymous novel of 2020.

The film is produced in partnership between Netflix and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment.
