Even after its OTT release, Tourist Family, starring Sasikumar and Simran in lead roles, has been earning praise from all quarters including noted celebrities from the film industry. After his recent post on X lauding the film, Nani met director Abishan Jeevinth in person to talk to him about it in detail. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Abishan wrote that he was honoured to meet him and hear him speak about the family drama.
In his post on X, the filmmaker wrote, "What a day! Truly honoured to have met you, Nani sir. You’re such a humble and grounded person. The way you spoke about the film in such detail made it more special for me. Thank you."
It may be recalled that Telugu star Nani had recently expressed his appreciation for Abishan Jeevinth's hit film.
Nani had said, "Simple, heart warming films with lot of goodness is what we deserve and Tourist Family delivers just that.Thanking the whole cast and crew who made this gem of a film. Much needed."
To this, the director replied saying, "Sir, this was totally unexpected! Thank you so much for the encouragement — your tweet truly made our day! We’re feeling extra grateful and super motivated!"
Prior to Nani, several top professionals from across film industries have congratulated the young director and his unit. Apart from critical and commercial acclaim, the film has also been receiving praise from all quarters - audiences, critics as well celebrities like Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Suriya and director SS Rajamouli, among others.
Tourist Family, which hit screens on May 1, is a feel-good family entertainer that features Sasikumar and Simran in lead roles. It also stars Yogi Babu, Mithun Jayashankar, Kamalesh, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Ilango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi among others.
Tourist Family is produced by Pasilian Nazerath, Magesh Raj Pasilian, and Yuvaraj Ganesan under the Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment banners. The film's technical crew comprises music composer Sean Roldan, cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, editor Barath Vikraman, art director Raj Kamal, and lyricist Mohan Rajan.
