Lokesh Kanagaraj has already worked with some of the biggest stars in Indian cinema: Kamal Haasan (Vikram), Vijay (Master), and Rajinikanth (Coolie). Actors like Aamir Khan, Suriya, Upendra, Nagarjuna, and Jackie Shroff also appear in his LCU films in cameo roles. However, there is one box that Lokesh wants to tick: a film with Ajith Kumar. Recently, the Coolie filmmaker revealed that he wants to do an action film with Ajith. In an interview with popular TV personality and anchor Gopinath, Lokesh has shared that he has already approached Ajith's manager Suresh Chandra to talk about this project.

Ajith is currently busy with his motorsport commitments with his namesake racing team. Recently, the actor revealed that he would come back to doing films in Tamil cinema by about November or the third quarter of this year. Ajith's Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran also revealed that he has received an opportunity to work with the actor on another film. Ajith has not signed up for any project after this year's Good Bad Ugly, so it makes you wonder which film will go on floors first.

Meanwhile, Lokesh awaits the August 14 release of Coolie, his upcoming film with Rajinikanth. The film also stars Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna, and Upendra, among others. The film also has cameos by Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde.
