Sithara Entertainments, the production banner of Naga Vamsi, released a poster giving a first look at Suriya's character from his upcoming film earlier this Wednesday, which marks the actor's birthday. Tentatively titled Suriya 46, the film is directed by Venky Atluri from his own screenplay and also stars Mamitha Baiju. In a recent interview, Venky said that Suriya's character in the film would be similar to his role as Sanjay Ramasamy from 2005's Ghajini. The first poster from the film sees a determined-looking Suriya clad in a black t-shirt and a jacket.

Sharing the poster on X, Naga Vamsi wished Suriya on his birthday and described him as "an actor who keeps setting the bar higher." The producer added, "We're beyond excited to show you all the vintage Suriya garu" in the film. On the other hand, the film's composer GV Prakash also shared the poster while conveying his birthday wish to Suriya. The composer also used a fire emoticon to describe the upcoming film.

Going by the tags in each announcement post from the makers, Suriya 46 also stars Raveena Tandon and Radikaa Sarathkumar. It would mark Raveena Tandon's comeback to Tamil cinema after 2001's Aalavandhan, starring Kamal Haasan.

On the technical front, the film also has Navin Nooli for editing and Nimish Ravi for cinematography. The makers are yet to reveal further details about the project. Reportedly, Suriya has completed the second production schedule of the film.

Besides the film with Venky Atluri, Suriya has Karuppu with director RJ Balaji and Vaadivasal with Vetrimaaran in the pipeline.
