The film is set for a Pongal release, without specifying the date

After the production company Dawn Pictures faced money laundering charges and ED raids, one of its most awaited films, Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead, has reportedly resumed production in Pollachi on Friday.

The film's director, Sudha Kongara, mentioned during a press conference weeks ago that there are 40 days of shooting left to complete production. The film is expected to revolve around the anti-Hindi agitation in the then Madras during the 60s. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the film stars Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa Murali and Sreeleela in crucial roles.

The makers of the film dropped the teaser earlier this year.

Parasakthi marks the first collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Sudha Kongara. The director's regular collaborator, GV Prakash, is the composer of the film, with the technical crew rounded out by cinematographer Ravi K Chandran, editor Sathish Suriya, and action choreographer Supreme Sundar.

The film is set for a Pongal release, without specifying the date.
