Zee5 bags digital rights of Kudumbasthan

The film is expected to deal with how Manikandan's character stays afloat in the financial crisis, in a humourous way

Ahead of its release on January 24, Kudumbasthan makers announced, on Tuesday, that the OTT streaming rights of the comedy entertainer has been obtained by Zee5.

The trailer that released two days ago, revolves around the lead character, played by Manikandan, who is reeling under a debt trap following his wedding with his love against the wishes of his family. The film is expected to deal with how he stays afloat in the crisis, in a humourous way.

The film also stars actor Saanve Megghana as the female lead and Guru Somasundaram in a prominent role. R Sundarrajan, Prasanna Balachandran, and Jenson Dhivakar play supporting characters.

Backed by S Vinothkumar's Cinemaakaran banner, the film's technical team consists of cinematographer Sujith Subramaniam, editor Kannan, and music composer Vaisagh.

Kudumbasthan will release along with Guru Somasundaram-led Bottle Radha, written and directed by debutant Dhinakaran Sivalingam.
