The much-aniticipated grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil season 8, hosted by Vijay Sethupathi came to a close as as debater and anchor Muthukumaran was crowned the title winner of the reality show.

The show began with 24 contestants battling it out in the Bigg Boss house, where week-on-week evictions were determined by public votes. After months of intense competition, the grand finale showcased the top five contestants: Muthukumaran, Soundharya, Pavithra, Vishal, and Rayaan.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi, alongside Vijay TV Channel Head R Balachandran and Cluster Jio Star Head Krishnan Kutty, announced Muthukumaran as the winner of Bigg Boss Season 8. Muthukumaran not only claimed the coveted title but also took home a grand cash prize of Rs 40,50,000. Soundarya was declared the first runner-up of the season. VJ Vishal, Pavithra Janani and Rayan bagged the third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively.

The season has been widely appreciated for its innovative format. Vijay Sethupathi's hosting also added many engaging moments during the weekend episodes.
