On Sunday, Netflix announced that Keerthy Suresh's latest theatrical outing, Revolver Rita, will premiere on the streamer on December 26. The film, helmed by JK Chandru, hit theatres on November 28 and opened to mixed reviews.
In the film, Keerthy Suresh plays Rita, a fearless woman from Puducherry, who finds herself caught in the crossfire when her family inadvertently gets entangled in a brutal gang conflict, turning her life upside down.
Marking Chandru’s return to direction after Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham (2013), Revolver Rita stars Keerthy alongside Radikaa Sarathkumar, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, Sendrayan and veteran stunt master Super Subbarayan.
An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "With so many characters involved in the film, it takes too long to take off, and by the time it does, Revolver Rita requires us to do the heavy lifting to stay engaged with the film. Even if we do, the returns aren’t that great, but the second half has some interesting portions involving the ensemble."
Backed by producers Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy, the film features cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan B, editing by Praveen KL and production design by Vinoth Rajkumar, with Aishwarya Suresh serving as creative producer.
