With just one day left for the release of Revolver Rita, Keerthy Suresh is quite packed with promotions for the film. Some, who have watched the trailer of the film, have compared it to Nayanthara's Kolamaavu Kokila, as that film is also a dark comedy revolving around a girl and her mother and sister. In a recent interview, the actor has addressed comparisons between her film and Kolamaavu Kokila, confirming that the two have nothing in common besides the genre.

She said, "Having watched the trailer, many are comparing Revolver Rita to Kolamaavu Kokila. It may be similar because of the black comedy genre and setup. In fact, before I began filming for Revolver Rita, I watched Nayanthara-Nelson's film once. However, the two have a completely different screenplay. My film's story is set up in 24 hours, from one day's afternoon to the next day's afternoon."
