Silambarasan on Sundar C’s Gangers: Vadivelu sir steals the show with his magic

Silambarasan, who has worked with Sundar C in the 2019 film Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, also called Gangers a 'total laughter riot'

On Thursday, actor Silambarasan took to his official X handle to shower praises on Sundar C’s latest directorial, Gangers. The film, also starring Sundar C, Vadivelu and Catherine Tresa, hit theatres on Thursday.

Sharing a poster of the film, Silambarasan wrote, “Just watched Gangers – a total laughter riot! Vadivelu sir steals the show with his magic. My best wishes to Sundar C Anna and the entire team!” (sic) Silambarasan has previously worked with Sundar C in the 2019 film Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven.

Bagavathi Perumal, Esakki Krishnasamy, Hareesh Peradi, Mime Gopi, Vichu Vishwanath, and Munishkanth complete the ensemble cast of Gangers.

The film marks the much-awaited reunion of Sundar C and Vadivelu, who have previously teamed up for popular hits like Winner, Giri, Thalainagaram, and London. Their last collaboration was in Nagaram Marupakkam (2010), making Gangers their first project together in 14 years.

Produced by Khushbu and Sundar C under the Avni Cinemax banner, the film is presented by Benzz Media Pvt Ltd and ACS Arun Kumar. The technical team includes E Krishnaswamy as the cinematographer, Praveen Antony as the editor, and C Sathya as the music composer.

Meanwhile, Silambarasan is currently awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life. He is also filming for STR 49, helmed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan, and STR 50 and STR 51 with Desingh Periyasamy and Ashwath Marimuthu, respectively.
