After Gujarat Titans' impressive batting performance the other day, Sivakarthikeyan took to X to show his support for the team's opener and Tamil Nadu Ranji Trophy player Sai Sudharsan. Tagging the player and sharing his pictures, the actor wrote, "Love the way you play, dear Sai Sudharsan. Keep going. Waiting to see this great talent in the Indian jersey."
This is not the first time Sivakarthikeyan is showing his support for a cricket player. Earlier, the actor supported his Kanaa co-star and Indian cricketer Sajeevan Sajana by providing her with new cricket spikes after she lost her kit during the 2018 Kerala floods. Sivakarthikeyan stars in Kanaa as cricket coach Nelson Dhilip Kumar, named after his Doctor director. Sivakarthikeyan maiden production venture, which stars Aishwarya Rajesh as an aspiring cricketer, Kanaa highlights the challenges and triumphs of women in cricket.
Furthermore, Sivakarthikeyan promoted the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup by appearing in a video for the Australian consulate, urging everyone to support the female stars.
On the work front, Sivakarthikeyan will next be seen in AR Murugadoss' Madharasi, which is slated for a September 05 release. His upcoming projects also include Parasakthi, with co-star Ravi Mohan and director Sudha Kongara.
