After 21 years, Cheran's award-winning film Autograph is being re-released in theatres on May 16.

The romantic drama follows Senthil Kumar (Cheran), who runs an ad agency and boards a train to invite friends and family to his wedding. During his journey, he encounters people from his past, leading him to reminisce about the three most influential women in his life.

Starring alongside Cheran were Gopika, Sneha, Mallika, and Kaniha. Autograph was remade in Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali.

Autograph, both a critical and a commercial success, went on to win three National Awards under the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Female Playback Singer, and Best Lyrics categories.

Produced by Dream Theatres, the film had cinematography by Ravi Varman, Vijay Milton, Dwarakanath, and Shanky Mahendran; editing by S Sathesh and J N Harsha; songs by Bharadwaj; and a background score by Sabesh-Murali. Autograph initially hit theatres on February 20, 2004.
