It is well known that actor Shane Nigam is making his debut in Tamil with the upcoming film Madraskaaran. On Wednesday, the makers had shared the first single from the film titled 'Thai Thakka Kalyanam' which has been sung by Kapil Kapilan and Aparna with lyrics by director Elan, who recently made Star, which had Kavin in the lead role.

Vaali Mohan Das, who made his directorial debut with Rangoli, is the writer and director for this film, which also stars Kalaiyarasan in the lead.

Madraskaaran also stars Niharika Konidela, Aishwarya Dutta, Karunas, and Pandiarajan. In an earlier interview with CE, writer-director Vaali said that the film revolves around the consequences of an ego clash between two people and that it centres on the idea of "how a negligible incident completely changes a person's life."

Madraskaaran is touted as an action thriller along the lines of Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Driving Licence, as well as Shane's own Ishq. It is produced by B Jagadish through SR Productions. It has cinematography by Prasanna S Kumar, editing by R Vasanthakumar, and music by Sam CS.

The makers are yet to announce a release date for the film.
