The makers of Soodhu Kavvum 2, starring Shiva in the lead role, have released the first single from the film on Friday. Titled 'We Are Not The Same', the song is sung by Anthony Dassan and Edwin Louis Viswanath with lyrics by La. Varadhan.

Written and directed by SJ Arjun, Soodhu Kavvum 2 also stars Harisha, Radha Ravi, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Aruldoss, Kalki and Kavi. The story is penned by SJ Arjun and T Yogaraja.

“The sequel is based on an original idea by Nalan. Soodhu Kavvum 2 is 100 per cent a continuation of the story from the first film,” producer CV Kumar earlier said. Soodhu Kavvum is a 2013 black crime comedy film directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The film starred Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan, and Sanchita Shetty among others. However, the four actors will be not returning for the sequel.

Soodhu Kavvum 2 is yet to get a release date but it's expected to be released this summer.
