The first look poster of Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 171 helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj was unveiled on Thursday.

The poster, where Rajinikanth is shown in a younger look, has a clock in the background with Rajini handcuffed by a chain of watches.

Revealing the poster, Lokesh Kanagaraj said the title of the film will be announced on April 22 through a teaser video.

Thalaivar 171 is backed by Sun Pictures. The technical crew consists Lokesh's regulars Anirudh and Anbariv.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer and Lokesh last directed Leo starring Vijay. That apart, Rajinikanth is filming for his next, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. Lokesh also has Kaithi 2 starring Karthi in his kitty.

During the launch of the music video starring him alongside Shruti Haasan, Lokesh said he isn't shifting to acting and he is focused on directing movies, he added saying Thalaivar 171 will go on floors in June.
