The teaser Soodhu Kavvum 2, sequel to the superhit 2013 comic caper Soodhu Kavvum, has been released on Saturday.
First look poster of the film dropped on Friday. The teaser was released by Vijay Sethupathi, who played the lead in the first installment of Soodhu Kavvum.
The staging of scenes, as shown in the teaser, is replete with quirkiness and absurdity, staying true to its predecessor. From colour tone to costumes, the sequel hasn't veered from part one even slightly.
Written and directed by SJ Arjun, Soodhu Kavvum 2 along with Mirchi Shiva and Karunakaran also stars Harisha, Radha Ravi, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Aruldoss, Kalki and Kavi. However, the major cast members - Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Ashok Selvan and Sanchita Shetty have not been retained for the second part.
The story is penned by SJ Arjun and T Yogaraja. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Karthik K Thillai, music composer Edwin Louis Viswanath and editor Ignatious Aswin.
Soodhu Kavvum 2, with the tagline 'Naadum Nattu Makkalum', is yet to get a release date but it's expected to be released this summer.
