Santhosh P Jayakumar's The Boys gets release date

The director stars along with Siva Sha Ra in the lead role

The makers of Santhosh P Jayakumar's next, The Boys, unveiled the trailer and announced the film's release date on Wednesday. Starring the director, along with Siva Sha Ra in the lead, The Boys is all set to hit theatres on March 29.

The trailer introduces us to a group of bachelor friends and describes every character individually. The rest of the trailer hints at adult comedy, revolving around drinking, smoking, and other activities that bachelor boys indulge in. The film also stars Arshad, KPY Vinoth, Yuvaraj, Redin Kingsley, and Rajendran.

"The film will revolve around the protagonists' liking towards liquor and the various places it takes them. While it will speak about the ill effects of alcohol and addiction, all of this is conveyed in comic undertones," director Santhosh said in an earlier conversation with CE.

Nova Film Studios and Darkroom Pictures are bankrolling The Boys which will feature cinematography by K. Ahamed Sherief and editing by Sam RDX. Arun Gautham has scored the music for this upcoming film.
