Earlier, we reported that Shane Nigam is making his Tamil debut with a film titled Madraskaaran, written and directed by Vaali Mohan Das. Now, the makers of the film have announced through a BTS making video that its shoot has been wrapped. The film marks the sophomore directorial venture of Rangoli fame Vaali. It also stars Kalaiyarasan, Niharika Konidela, Aishwarya Dutta, Karunas, and Pandiarajan.

In an earlier interview with CE, writer-director Vaali said that the film revolves around the consequences of an ego clash between two people and that it centres on the idea of "how a negligible incident completely changes a person's life."

Madraskaaran is touted as an action thriller along the lines of Prithviraj Sukumaran's Ayyappanum Koshiyum and Driving Licence, as well as Shane's own Ishq. It is produced by B Jagadish through SR Productions. It has cinematography by Prasanna S Kumar, editing by R Vasanthakumar, and music by Sam CS.

The makers are yet to announce when it will hit theatres but are eyeing a mid-year release.
