Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu revealed through an X post that his upcoming Vijay starrer The Greatest of All Time will release on September 05 in theatres worldwide. According to the release date poster of the film, it will hit theatres in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Production commenced on The Greatest of All Time last October. Earlier this year, the makers of the film launched its first-look poster alongside the title.

Archana Kalpathi produced the film under the AGS Entertainment banner. The film also stars Meenakashi Chaudhary in a lead role, opposite Vijay. Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Prabhudheva, Mohan, and Jayaram are also part of The Greatest of All Time cast. Frequent Venkat Prabhu collaborators such as Vaibhav, Premgi, Ajai Raj, and Aravind Akash round out the cast.

A Yuvan Shankar Raja musical, GOAT's technical team also has Siddharth Nuni as cinematographer, Venkat Raajen as editor, Rajeevan as art director, and Dileep Subbarayan as stunt director. GOAT reunites Yuvan Shankar Raja and Vijay a little over 20 years after their last film, Pudhiya Geethai.
