The makers of Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naadum Naatu Makkalum, released the motion poster of the film. The glimpse features guns and currency notes. Written and directed by SJ Arjun, the film stars Mirchi Shiva, Harisha, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, M.S. Bhaskar, Karate Karthi, Ramesh Thilak, Yog Japee, Aruldoss, Kalki and Kavi. The story is penned by SJ Arjun and T Yogaraja.

While Tamil cinema is known to churn out sequels that have no connection to the first film, producer CV Kumar, in an earlier conversation, said, “Soodhu Kavvum 2 is 100 percent a continuation of the story from the first film." The film's technical crew includes DOP Karthik K Thillai, music composer Edwin Louis Viswanath and editor Ignatious Aswin.
