Filmmaker Cheran who last helmed Thirumanam (2019), will be making his directorial comeback and OTT debut with an upcoming web series. Titled Cheran's Journey, the series will stream on January 12, 2024, on SonyLIV. The makers also released a teaser of the series.

Cheran's Journey features an ensemble star cast including Sarathkumar, Kalaiyarasan, Prasanna, Aari Arjun, Divya Bharathi, Kashyap Barbhaya, Jayaprakash, Jasmine Metivier, Anupama, Ilavarasu, Naren, Anju Kurian, Vela Ramamoorthi, Bharani, among others.

The teaser shows Sarathkumar as a higher official working in a company, looking to fill a position. Five candidates are shown to be shortlisted. As each of the candidate come from different walks of life, and are vying for the position, the company has to choose one among them carefully.

The technical crew consists of music by Sathya C, with Ekhambaram NK handling the cinematography. KJ Venkataraman is the editor. Cheran's Journey is backed by Gunasekar N, and Dhakshinamoorthy K under COMPASS 8 FILMS.
