Trailer of Nandhi Varman out

Starring Suresh Ravi in the lead, the film marks the debut directorial of GV Perumal Varadhan

The trailer of Suresh Ravi-starrer Nandhi Varman was unveiled by the makers on Saturday. Billed as a suspense thriller, the film revolves around a 1000-year-old mystery centred around the Pallava Dynasty.

The trailer starts by showing the Hanumanthapuram town built by the Pallava king Nandhi Varman. As per history, King Nandhi Varman was murdered by deceit and his empire was buried underground with him. In the present, we see a group of archaeologists coming to the ruins to excavate the site. However, as the villagers and the archaeologists experience paranormal activities, SI Guru (Suresh Ravi) steps in to investigate the case. 

The film is directed by debutant director GV Perumal Varadhan, he has previously worked as an assistant director in Bose Venkat’s directorial Kanni Maadam. The filmmaker has also worked as an associate cinematographer for films like Ratsasan, Maragadha Nanayam, and Bruce Lee.

Suresh Ravi has previously starred in Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban. Asha Gowda plays the female lead in the film while the cast of the film also includes Nizhalgal Ravi, Bose Venkat, Aadukalam Murugadoss, Gajaraj, Ambani Shankar, and JSK Gopi in supporting roles. Jerard Felix has composed music for the film while Kanirajan and Krishnamurthy are handling the cinematography. This is the debut production for AK Film Factory. 

A release date for Nandhi Varman is yet to be revealed.
