Music composer S Thaman, who has been teasing the release of the original soundtrack (OST) of Varisu for the past few days, announced officially that it will be out on August 17.

Posting the announcement on X (formerly known as Twitter), Thaman said, "#VarisuOST on August 17th at 12pm. It's time to give it back mamme!! Fully loaded #VarisuOstJukebox get your headphones ready."

He posted yesterday on his X handle that the OST has 22 tracks in it while sharing a picture containing the song names.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha, among others. The film was backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. Varisu was released in theatres for Pongal and was met with a mixed response, but was a commercial success.

The film revolves around a family of three sons, with the youngest played by Vijay. After a conflict brings the estranged son back to his home, Varisu is about how he uplifts his family business while trying to mend broken ties at his home.
