Previously, we reported that SJ Arjun will be helming the sequel of Soodhu Kavvum 2, titled  Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naatum Naatu Makkalum. On Monday, the makers announced that the film went on floors after a brief pooja ceremony. 

SJ Arjun has previously helmed Yung Mung Sung. While Shiva will play the lead in the film, Karunakaran and Ramesh Thilak will reportedly reprise their roles in the sequel. Speculations are also rife that Vijay Sethupathi will appear in a cameo role in Soodhu Kavvum 2. 

Like the original, the sequel too will be backed by CV Kumar, under his banner, Thirukumaran Entertainment. While Karthik K Thillai is the cinematographer for Soodhu Kavvum 2, Igantious Aswin is the editor. Edwin Louis Viswanath is the music composer for the film. 

Further details about the plot and the rest of the cast of Soodhu Kavvum 2: Naatum Naatu Makkalum are yet to be revealed by the makers.
