Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara on Sunday took to Twitter to announce the birth of their twin baby boys.

While sharing pictures of himself and the actor holding and kissing the feet of the babies, Vignesh wrote, "Nayan & Me have become Amma & Appa. We are blessed with twin baby Boys. All our prayers,our ancestors’ blessings combined wit all the good manifestations made, have come together in the form of two blessed babies for us. Need all your blessings for our. Uyir & Ulagam."

The actor and filmmaker, who worked on films like Naanum Rowdy Thaan and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, got married in June earlier this year.

The couple has also taken part in the upcoming Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: A Fairy Tale, set to hit the streaming service soon.

On the work front, Nayanthara was recently seen in GodFather and has Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Connect in Tamil coming up.
