CE Features

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has confirmed that his 2019 film Kaithi and his new film Vikram are interlinked and they exist in the same cinematic universe. The theory was stated by a lot of fans and teased by the crew members in the past few weeks. The filmmaker shared the news through a statement he released on Twitter.

"Vikram is going to be all yours in a few hours. Please revisit Kaithi before getting into the world of 'Vikram'," he wrote.

Lokesh also shared that he has never been so emotional before the release of his film. "As I can remember, ever since I was a kid, I loved Ulaganayagan the most. This is a surreal experience for me. Directing him in my film is my honour."

Produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, Raaj Kamal Films International, the power packed action thriller stars Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in the lead.

Apart from the Kaithi connect, Vikram is also said to have a common thread that links it to the 1986 Vikram, which also starred Kamal in the lead.
