Uriyadi Vijay Kumar is teaming up with director Thamizh of Seththumaan fame for his next. The film produced by Reel Good Films went on floors today. Vijay Kumar is also collaborating with the banner for an upcoming action-drama directed by Abbas A.

Thamizh's film with Vijay Kumar, which is yet to be titled, is billed as a rural-based entertainer that has politics, action, romance and strong family values. Writer Azhakiya Periyavan has penned the film's dialogues.

Preethi Asrani has been signed as the female lead. The cast also includes Dhileepan, Pavel Navageethan, and Mariyam George among others. Mahendiran Jayaraju is the cinematographer and Govind Vasantha will compose the music. CS Prem Kumar will be editing the film.

The makers are planning a 60-day-long shoot schedule.
