Vikram starrer Cobra gets a new release date

The score for the film is composed by A R Rahman, who is collaborating with Vikram for the fourth time

The makers of Cobra have revealed through a Twitter post that the film is all set to release on 31 August. Seven Screen Studios shared a new poster for the film along with the announcement for the release date. The film stars Vikram in the lead and is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, who made his debut with Demonte Colony in 2015.

The film was earlier reported to be releasing on the 11th of August but it is now postponed to the end of the month. The film, which has been in development since 2019, is reported to portray Vikram in 25 different looks. The score for the film is composed by A R Rahman, who is collaborating with Vikram for the fourth time. The team had recently released the entire album for the film through a grand launch event. 

Apart from Vikram in the lead, the film also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Padmapriya, Mohammad Ali Baig, Kaniha, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi, and K. S. Ravikumar. The streaming rights have been bagged by Sony LIV while Red Giant Movies are distributing the film.
