Silambarasan, SJ Suryah, Venkat Prabhu get appreciation call from Rajinikanth, celebrate Maanaadu success

Superstar Rajinikanth has added to team Maanaadu's happiness with his call to them, congratulating them on a job well done. The film was released in theatres on November 26 and has since become the talk of the town. The plot, genre, writing, direction and music in this Silambarasan-starrer are appreciated by filmgoers and fans of the actor.

An ecstatic SJ Suryah’s tweeted saying that this is “the greatest award for my acting skill.” He also expressed that such appreciation helps him and gives him strength in his acting journey. 

Venkat Prabhu also shared the news of the call from Rajinikanth to him and STR on Twitter. The director and writer of the film received appreciation from fans too, and Twitter is flooded with responses. 

Despite initial problems with the release, and 5 am show being stalled, the later shows on the day of Maanaadu helped the film. Maanaadu is also rated highly by fans on websites such as Book My Show, search engine Google and IMDb.

Maanaadu is produced by Suresh Kamatchi of V House Productions. Richard M Nathan is the cinematographer of Maanaadu which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar and YG Mahendran.
