Maanaadu: Fans appreciate editor Praveen KL’s work in STR’s time loop thriller 

Maanaadu’s release hiccup did not hinder the movie’s success at the box office. The time loop drama has minor flaws but fans overlook them in the face of brilliant performances by SJ Suryah and Silambarasan TR. In addition to this, the audiences have noticed extraordinary work done by Praveen KL in his 100th film.

Any time loop film requires a deft hand at editing and Praveen has proved his expertise believes fans. Comments poured in from netizens about how the movie kept them hooked throughout. They also appreciated that the filmmakers chose to concentrate on the plot and do away with any unnecessary songs.

The background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja has also received appreciation from fans. Many claimed that they enjoyed this Venkat Prabhu movie more than his previous ones. Venkat Prabhu’s writing and direction were also lauded with many commenting on the director’s vision.

STR fans are claiming that a little bit of patience will help in understanding the film better. Some even mentioned that watching Edge of Tomorrow before Maanaadu may also help those who find the film hard to understand.

Maanaadu, also starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar and YG Mahendran released on November 25. The film was originally scheduled to have early morning shows, however, 5 AM shows were cancelled. The film started premiering with 8 AM shows across Tamil Nadu.
