Silambarasan hospitalised, doctors confirm actor is not Covid positive

Actor Silambarasan has reportedly been hospitalised. The Maanadu actor was rushed to a hospital after he complained of feeling unwell. 

A source was quoted by DT Next as saying, "He was shooting for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu while he felt sick on Friday. After complaining of uneasiness on Saturday, Simbu was immediately rushed to hospital where doctors said that he has a viral infection."

They also added, "In fact, the shoot of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu was called off on Friday. As of now, we have no updates from the hospital and even his parents are awaiting an update soon. Everyone is waiting to know when he would get out of the hospital."

It was confirmed that Silambarasan was not Covid positive. The actor had been running a temperature on Friday because of which the shoot of Gautham Vasudev Menon's directorial had to be called off.  

Silambarasan began work on Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu right Maanaadu was declared a success. The film's first teaser also dropped on Friday, December 10. The short video received a lot of love and attention from Simbu fans with 3.7 million views in just one day. Currently, he is shooting with the crew for the final schedule. 

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is produced by Ishari Ganesh, and has music composed by A.R. Rahman. Action director Lee Whittaker has worked on the stunts for the film.
