The first glimpse from Simbu-Gautham Menon film Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is out. The 1.35 minute-long teaser has Simbu as a villager who arrives in Mumbai for a living. Circumstances seem to land him in trouble and take up the gun, literally. Radikaa Sarathkumar, Malayalam actor Neeraj Madhav are among the other familiar faces seen in the teaser.

If the teaser is anything to go by, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu looks so unlike a Gautham Menon film. Aided by AR Rahman's soulful rendering in the background, the teaser is intriguing enough to pique one's curiosity.

We hear that the film tells the story of street thugs in Mumbai. Scripted by B Jeyamohan, it is billed as an action thriller. Kayadu Lohar is reportedly the female lead and veteran Malayalam actor Siddique will be seen as the primary antagonist.

The film produced by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International has Siddhartha Nuni as the cinematographer and Gautham Menon's frequent collaborator Antony as the editor.
