After crossing a number of hurdles, Amala Paul-starrer Aadai is all set to hit the screens from this evening. We had earlier reported that due to certain financial issues both the morning and matinee shows were cancelled - both within Tamil Nadu and in overseas locations. The KDM (Key Delivery Message) to start digital screening in theatres was not issued by the DSPs (Digital Service Providers).

Taking to social media to announce the news, Amala mentioned, "We promise you it would be worth the wait. Thank you for your continued support!" It is also reported that Amala was present at the settlement meeting held between the financiers and producers of Aadai, and the actor has reportedly waived off part of her salary to ensure smooth release of her film.

The film, directed by Meyaadha Maan-fame Rathna Kumar, also stars popular TV host Ramya, Sivaranjini, and Vivek Prasanna among others.

Shot in live sync sound, Aadai will have music by Pradeep Kumar’s band Oorkawhile Vijay Kartik Kannan of Iravaakaalam-fame is handling the cinematography.
