Actor Rajinikanth, who resumed shooting for his upcoming film Annaatthe in April, has completed the film's Hyderabad schedule. In a new video that is being widely circulated across social media platforms, Rajini can be seen arriving at his residence in Chennai, and waving to his fans and media persons who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the Kabali-actor.

Directed by Siva, the shooting of Annaatthe was halted last December when Rajinikanth's health took a beating followed by multiple members in the crew testing positive for the coronavirus. After a gap of four months, the shooting resumed at Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City, where the cast, including Nayantara, joined last month.

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, Annaatthe stars an ensemble that includes the likes of Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Khushbu, Prakash Raj, and Soori. D Imman, who received the National Award for his work in Siva's Viswasam, is composing the music for the film, marking his second collaboration with the filmmaker.

Annaatthe is expected to hit screens this Diwali, although an official announcement is awaited given the present situation with the pandemic.
