Rajinikanth, who took a break from the shoot of Annaatthe due to health ailments, is set to resume shooting for the film in Hyderabad. The shooting of the Siva-directorial came to a screeching halt in December last year when several crew members tested positive for COVID-19. This was followed by Rajinikanth's health issues, which extended the break.

After a four-month gap, Rajinikanth will be leaving for Hyderabad to resume the film's shoot. In a video shared by his publicist, the actor can be seen arriving at the airport to board a chartered plane. Rajinikanth, who recently won Dada Saheb Phalke Award, can also be seen waving to his fans in the video.

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, Annaatthe also stars Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Khushbu, Prakash Raj, and Soori. D Imman, who received the National Award for his work in Viswasam, is composing the music for the film, marking his second collaboration with filmmaker Siva.

The film is expected to hit screens this Diwali.
