Both V and Soorarai Pottru garnered significant attraction when they originally premiered

Amazon Prime Video will be releasing the Hindi-dubbed versions of two of its original titles, V and Soorarai Pottru, on April 3.

Directed by Indraganti Mohan Krishna, V was released in September 2020 and marked the 25th film in actor Nani's career.

Soorarai Pottru, starring Suriya and Aparna Balamurali, was released in November 2020. The Suriya-starrer, which has been titled Udaan for its Hindi release, is a dramatised version of the book Simply Fly, written on the life of Capt GR Gopinath. Interestingly, Udaan is also the title of Vikramaditya Motwane's directorial debut.

Being the first major films driven by stars to opt for straight-to-streaming release, both V and Soorarai Pottru garnered significant attraction at the time of their premieres.

Soorai Pottru had qualified for Oscars in the general category, but failed to make the cut when the nominations were announced earlier this month.
