Alec Baldwin to star in disaster movie Supercell

Hollywood star Alec Baldwin has been roped in for the upcoming disaster movie, Supercell. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Supercell, directed by Herbert James, is a co-production of Highland Film Group and newly-launched Short Porch Pictures.

The story follows William, a good-hearted teenager wanting to follow in his father's footsteps, the legendary storm chaser Bill Brody killed by a massive super tornado. Bill's legacy has now been turned into a storm-chasing tourist business, run by the greedy and reckless Zane Rogers.

Alec Baldwin will reportedly portray the character of Zane Rogers. 

Supercell has a script penned by Wintestern and Anna Elizabeth James.

The principal photography for the film will begin later this year, on locations in Montana and Georgia.
