Cary Elwes wraps shooting for Mission: Impossible 7

Actor Cary Elwes has confirmed on Saturday that he finished shooting for the Tom Cruise-led actioner, Mission: Impossible 7. Elwes, known for his roles in films like The Princess Bride and Robin Hood: Men in Tights, took to Twitter to share the news. 

"And that‘s a wrap for me on Mission: Impossible 7. Thank you Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie for making this journey on what will be by far the most exciting Mission ever, such a joy! To the massively talented and gracious cast & crew, I thank you all," tweeted Elwes, while sharing selfies with Cruise and McQuarrie.

Mission Impossible 7 is the third film in the franchise to be directed by McQuarrie, and marks the return of Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Rebecca Ferguson. New additions to the cast include Vanessa Kirby, Indira Varma, Pom Klementieff, and Mark Gatiss.

The film is currently slated to release on May 27, 2022. An eighth film is set to follow.
