Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin was elected as the MLA of Chennai’s Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Election. Ever since his win, there was a question of whether he would continue his acting career. Now, new speculations claim that Udhayanidhi is planning to bid adieu to his acting career on a high note.

According to a report, the actor-politician is teaming up with director Mari Selvaraj and music composer AR Rahman for his last film. It is said that he will then divert all his attention to his political career.

The film will be a semi-autobiography of a person from the southern part of Tamil Nadu. Other details of the project are currently under wraps.

It is also unclear when the film will go on floors as Mari Selvaraj is currently working on a project with Vikram’s son Dhruv. It has also been announced that Mari will be joining forces with Dhanush once again after their recent outing, Karnan.

On the other hand, Udhayanidhi also has three upcoming projects in different stages of production. He is playing the lead in the Tamil remake of Article 15 directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. He also has a film with director Magizh Thirumeni and director Maran’s Kannai Nambathey in his kitty.
