Daisy Edgar-Jones' Where The Crawdads Sing wraps production

The film is an adaptation of Delia Owens's novel by the same name

The filming of Where The Crawdads Sing, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, and Harris Dickinson, has finished filming on Sunday. Edgar-Jones, who shot to fame with the mini-series Normal People, took to Instagram to announce the completion of production.

"Where the crawdudes be diddle daddling. What a wonderful few months it has been! I can’t wait for you to see Kya’s marsh in all its glory and thank you to the Crawdads team for working so hard to bring this beautiful story to life. That’s a heckin wrap! See you way out yonder," wrote Edgar-Jones, while sharing photos from the shooting location.

An adaptation of  Delia Owens's novel by the same name, Where The Crawdads Sing also features David Strathairn and Jayson Warner Smith in prominent roles. Directed by Olivia Newman and written by Lucy Alibar, known for co-writing  Beasts of the Southern Wild, the film is being produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter.

The film is set to release on June 24, 2022.
