Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa-starrer Puaada will be the first Punjabi film to be released in cinemas in over a year. The romantic comedy will hit theatres on March 11, exactly a year after cinemas shut down last year.

Puaada was initially set for release in June 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic.

The film is made by A&A Pictures and Brat Films. It is directed by debutant Rupinder Chahal.

Zee Studios have acquired the entire worldwide rights of Puaada, including theatrical, music, digital and satellite. With the film, the makers are hoping Punjabi cinema will bounce back to its pre-pandemic peak.

Meanwhile, Ammy Virk is also a part of Kabir Khan’s upcoming Hindi film, ‘83. The actor essays cricketer Balwinder Sandhu in the film.
