Coronavirus outbreak: Pawan Kalyan to donate Rs 2 crore for government relief measures

Actor and Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan has pledged to donate Rs 50 lakh each to both the Telangana and the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund amid the coronavirus outbreak. He has also announced Rs 1 crore to Prime Minister's Relief Fund to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Besides Pawan, directors Trivikram Srinivas and Anil Ravipudi will also donate Rs 20 lakh and Rs 10 lakh to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments. Recently, actor Nithiin donated Rs 10 lakh to the CM Relief Fund of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to help them fight against the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Actors Rajasekhar and Jeevitha too offered a helping hand to the struggling artists in the Telugu film industry and donated essential commodities on Thursday. With no film releases in sight, the Telugu film industry is being hit hard as shootings and other events have also been called off amid the surge in coronavirus positive cases.
